Fall Hot Tub Maintenance Tips

There’s nothing quite like sitting in a hot tub on a cool autumn night. To really be able to enjoy your hot tub all year, there is seasonal maintenance that needs to be done. Fall is the perfect time to take care of some maintenance that you might have skipped over during the summer. Let’s take a look at some of our best tips on how to take care of your hot tub this fall.

Replace Your Spa Water

If there’s one tip to follow above all others, it’s this one! Replacing your water is key in maintaining a happy and healthy hot tub. If you are not planning on using your hot tub during the colder seasons, you should drain all of the water and winterize your spa. If you are going to continue using your hot tub during the fall and winter (the best time to enjoy the hot tub in our opinion!) it is still recommended to replace your water before the long winter.

Inspect Your Hot Tub

Is it time for a new cover? Is your cover heavy or does it have any rips? A new cover will keep your water temperature warm. Do your filters need replaced? Good water circulation keeps your hot tub working efficiently.

Test Your Water

Maintain your sanitizer levels, even if you are not going to use it as frequently. In maintaining your water weekly, you will recognize if your water level drops because of a leak.

Freshwater Salt System

If you don’t want to worry about keeping up with your hot tubs needs, we’ve got just what you need. Our Freshwater Salt System is available on all Highlife and Limelight Collection spas and is the perfect solution to hassle free maintenance year-round. This easy to use saltwater system eliminates the worry of keeping spa water clean, clear and sanitized for a full year, leaving you to just enjoy your hot tub in the coming cooler months. With just a little salt in your spa water, the system generates chlorine automatically, so you’ll spend less time measuring and adding chemicals. This unique system makes spa ownership easier than ever by removing the guesswork and hassle of water care maintenance.
