What Is The Right Hot Tub Temperature?
Hot tubs relieve stress and help us relax after a long day. But what is the right hot tub temperature for you?
Safety is the most important factor in setting your hot tub temperature. You want to make sure to have the desired heat for you and your family, but that being said, some temperatures can be too high and become dangerous if not set correctly.
The average human body temperature is 98.6°F. This varies, however, depending on the individual and their environment. Setting your hot tub temperature a few degrees above your average body temperature ensures many health benefits and a relaxing experience.
We recommend that you set your hot tub temperature between 100° and 104° degrees Fahrenheit. Soaking in water above 104° degrees for an extensive period of time can cause health issues such as heat stroke and hyperthermia if you are not cautious.
Now what about keeping the temperature low? Go for it! As mentioned earlier, pick the temperature that is comfortable for both you and your family. The less you fluctuate the heat, the more energy you save, keeping costs to a minimum. A lower heat level can also be safer for children, elderly individuals and pregnant women.
